- As of August 9th, the flow of new lava at Litli-Hrutur has temporarily ceased. The smoldering area remains intriguing and worthwhile to explore
- The hike to the volcanic area takes approximately 2 hours each way—challenging yet manageable for those with reasonable fitness
- Dress suitably for challenging weather; avoid jeans for optimal comfort in varying conditions
- Optional pickup available upon request, subject to an additional charge for added convenience
- Some city center areas are inaccessible by bus due to regulations. If staying there, expect redirection to special bus stops
- Food and drinks are not included on this tour, but a lunch stop is available for purchases
- Tour duration is approximate, as it depends on conditions and trail variability during the excursion
- The operator reserves the right to modify the hiking route and stops based on prevailing conditions
