Senior, Youth and Student ticket: Participants who are aged 65+ are considered as seniors, participants who are aged 14-17 are considered as youth, and students with a valid student ID are all eligible for this ticket

- Re-entry policy: The ticket is valid for the full day (Visitors are able to visit for a while, leave to relax in the gardens or take a stroll in Millennium Park, then come back in for more art)
- The museum features a café and modern bar serving sandwiches, salads, desserts, coffee, tea, and beverages
- Checkrooms are available for storage: Food, beverages, flowers& balloons are not allowed
- Maximum bag size: 33 cm x 43.2 cm x 10.2 cm
- Smaller backpacks are permitted, but visitors may be asked to wear them on the front of their bodies
- Water bottles with a closable lid is allowed, there are water bottle-filling stations available in the venue
- It is advisable to allocated approximately 3 hours in the museum
- The venue offers facilities such as toilets, elevators, disabled access, bar, gift shop, and an art collection
Items that are not allowed in the gallery:
- Bags, backpacks (including backpack baby carriers), camera bags, shopping bags, and purses larger than 33 cm x 43.2 cm x 10.2 cm
- Art materials other than pencils and sketchbooks
- Bicycles, sports equipment, recreational equipment such as scooters, skateboards, shoes with wheels, and roller blades
- Large objects, such as flags, banners, signs, frames, and artwork
- Tripods, flash attachments, and selfie sticks
- Flowers, balloons, toys, and wrapped packages
- Umbrellas that are too large to be stowed in bags
Accessibility:
- Manually operated wheelchairs and strollers are available free of charge at both museum checkrooms. No reservation is required
- Accessible parking is available in several garages (Oversized vans are not allowed)
- Height clearance for each garage: Millennium Park Garage (203.2 cm), East Monroe Street Garage (203.2 cm) & Grant Park North Garage (198.1 cm)
- Personal wheelchairs (Manual and electric) are always welcome
- Visitors who are deaf or have hearing loss (Talks in auditorium): All auditoriums are equipped with assistive listening system that includes t-coil compatibility
- Open or closed captioning is offered at most public lectures
- ASL interpretation for public lectures may be available upon request
- In-gallery experiences: ASL interpretation & assisted-listening devices is available upon request at museum_interpretation@artic.edu (Request must be made at least two weeks in advance)
- Visitors who are blind or have low vision: A multisensory gallery is available, consisting of materials wall and rubbing pattern designs
- TacTiles Kits: These are designed to be touched. It includes color photographs, large-type print descriptions, and Braille descriptions of each work
- Visitors with Autism or sensory-processing disorders: Please refer to the sensory map here
Security screening

Visitors with implanted or wearable medical devices: It is recommended to consult the device manufacturer or physician for information (the museum uses a security screening and weapon-detection system at all entrance)

The system uses low-frequency (ELF) radio waves, similar to retail anti-theft systems, to detect prohibited weapons and devices. It complies with national and international safety standards and is safe for the general public, including pregnant women and children
