Additional information
- Drinking an appropriate amount of buttered tea, dairy products, and beef and mutton can enhance adaptation to the plateau climate. To prevent dryness, especially using sunscreen lip balm and sunscreen, can effectively prevent moisture loss and increase the body's resistance.
- When first arriving at a high altitude, rest more, do not overeat or overdrink to avoid increasing the burden on digestive organs, drink more water and eat more fruit, and abstain from smoking and alcohol. Do not run or engage in strenuous exercise. You may appropriately prepare some oxygen tanks.
- When traveling in high-altitude areas, it is advisable to wear loose, warm clothing. Due to strong sunlight, it is best to wear sunglasses, sun hats, and sunscreen to prevent ultraviolet rays from burning the skin.
- Bring some snacks (chocolate, etc.) when entering the plateau. Prevent colds caused by catching a chill. The temperature difference on the plateau is particularly large, making it very easy to catch a cold. It's better to be a little warm than a little cold, so wear more clothes.
- Once altitude sickness occurs, there is no need to panic. Treatment should be targeted based on the severity of the reaction. If the reaction is mild, rest, drink plenty of water, and reduce physical activity. Generally, it will disappear or lessen after a period of time. Commonly used drugs to prevent altitude sickness include Rhodiola, inosine tablets, glucose, etc. Start taking them two days before entering the mountains and continue taking them during the journey to effectively prevent high altitude reactions.
- Safety factors should be fully considered during outdoor activities. Do not neglect safety because of the beautiful scenery, and it is best not to go out alone at night at the accommodation. As most of the journey is on a plateau, the driving time will be longer. There may be delays in arrival time due to objective reasons such as traffic jams or road maintenance. The weather on the plateau changes greatly, and we cannot fully control it. If extreme weather is encountered, our professional team leaders and guides will also assess the safety factor and adjust the route.
- There will be no signal after entering the mountain. If you have important matters to deal with, please prepare an emergency plan in advance and inform your family and friends. Please prepare your own packed lunch. Drinking water is difficult at the camp, but we can guarantee drinking water for everyone (please do not waste it). Please do not use hot water to wash your face, feet, or brush your teeth (you can prepare mouthwash + wet wipes). The weather on the plateau is unpredictable, so personal equipment must be warm (prepare according to the above list).
- Most areas involved in this trip have limited supplies, so please make sure to prepare all your equipment before departure. The journey is long, so motion-sick companions should prepare motion sickness medication in advance. There will be significant changes in altitude and large temperature differences on the day, so please prepare necessary clothing and other items to keep with you.
