Private Summer Palace Walking Tour with Admission Ticket

A masterpiece of Imperial Chinese Gardens, the Summer Palace has great historical significance. We offer three packages: guide meet-up at its entrance, 4-hour tour with downtown Beijing hotel transfers, and 6-hour in-depth tour with transfers.

Meet your guide in front of the East Gate of the Summer Palace. Then set off and explore. (If you choose the option including the transfer, then your driver/guide will hold your name sign waiting in the lobby of your Beijing downtown hotel).

First, your professional tour guide will explain the detailed history of the Summer Palace as well as how to built an idea garden in old days, their believe and fengshui influence etc.Feel free to ask questions if you have any. Then followed by your guide

Move on to the Hall of Jade Ripples where the emperor was under housing arrested for 10 years. Explore the Hall of Fragrant Herbs where the emperor Qianlong used to store his books. Next, to the Hall of Happiness and longevity which is empress dowager Cix

Then, enjoy a leisure walk with your tour guide, and stroll along the the longest corridor in the world. Admire many paintings on the ceiling and listen to the related legendary stories. Here you will have some free time to take photos.

Once arrive the middle of the long corridor, you will climb up to the Tower of the Buddhist Incense where you can enjoy an amazing view of the Kunming Lake. Admire some displays inside the Hall.(Not open on Monday)

Move on to the Marble Boat which is a foreign style superstructure, back in the Qing dynasty it was supposed to be a symbol of stability.

If you choose the 2 hours tour, then your tour will ends here. You can choose to explore more of the palace on your own. If you choose the 4 hours tour, you will explore Empress Dowager Cixi's Theater, Suzhou Street or travel to the south island. Just fee

During the whole tour you will not feel been rushed, you will stop and listen to the stories, you will have your own time to look into the buildings and take photos.
