  • The course includes three main stages:
  • I. Knowledge Development Education: Understand and recognize the basic knowledge and principles of scuba diving through academic knowledge development (classroom learning)
  • II. Confined Water Training: Learn basic scuba diving skills in confined water.
  • III. Open Water Dives: Conduct 4 dives in a real ocean environment, practice the diving skills you’ve learned, and begin exploring your underwater journey!
  • You can also choose to complete the knowledge development education + calm water learning in Nangang District, Taipei City, and the open water practice in the Northeast Coast.

Additional information

  • Participants must be 10 years of age or older to attend this event.
  • Those under 14 years of age are considered junior divers.
  • Under 18 years of age requires consent from a legal guardian.

  • I. Knowledge Development Education: Understand the precautions, diving techniques, and applications of five advanced specialties through academic knowledge development (classroom learning).
  • II. Open Water Dives: The mandatory courses are underwater navigation and deep diving. Depending on the instructor and the climate of the learning location at the time, you will be recommended three other diving specialty experiences.
  • You will complete a total of 5 dives in a marine environment (Optional boat diving specialty experience available at an additional cost and requires advance booking)

    1. Confined Water Training: Learn basic freediving techniques in confined water and achieve the course objectives: a static apnea of at least 1 minute 30 seconds and a dynamic apnea of at least 25 meters.
  • III. Open Water Practice: Hands-on practice of rope climbing descent and constant weight descent in the marine environment, as well as appropriate buddy procedures. Achieve the course objectives: constant weight descent of 10 meters and underwater 5-meter BO rescue.
  • You can also choose to complete the knowledge development education + calm water learning in Nangang District, Taipei City, and the open water practice in the Northeast Coast.
