Eligibility

• There is no age limit, as long as riders can comfortably and safely use the bike
• Guests under 18 years old must be accompanied by a guardian
• Child pricing applies to guests aged 16 years or younger using a regular bike

Additional information

• Electric bikes are available in XXS–XL sizes and are suitable for riders with a minimum height of 140 cm
• Depart from the operator's shop at your preferred time, with a recommended departure between 9:30 and 11:00. Allow approximately 1.5 hours for the 16km route or 2.5–3 hours for the 30km route, plus additional time to enjoy visits to the wineries
• Return shuttle departs from Church Road Winery at 15:00, arriving back in Napier at approximately 15:15
• If you plan to enjoy lunch at one of the wineries, advance reservations are recommended as they are often busy, especially on weekends. Please contact the operator if you would like assistance with planning your schedule
• The listed start time is for reference only. Bikes will be ready for collection when the shop opens, which may be as early as your cruise ship's arrival time on cruise days
• Your return shuttle time will be confirmed on the day to match your cruise departure schedule, ensuring you return to the port with plenty of time before departure
• The cycling routes are flat and suitable for most riders. If you find yourself riding up a steep hill, you may have taken the wrong route
• The operator's toll free number is on every bike so you can call the operator anytime for directions if in doubt
• Opening hours vary by season. The operator opens earlier and closes later during summer, while winter operating hours are shorter. If you would like to confirm the opening hours for your visit, please contact the operator in advance
• The cycling routes are easy and suitable for most fitness levels. Electric bikes with pedal-assist are also available for a more comfortable ride. Please note that the e-bikes provide pedal assistance only and do not have a throttle
• You can visit wineries along the cycling route, depending on your schedule and riding pace. Mission Estate and Church Road wineries are approximately 16km from the starting point and typically take 1–1.5 hours to reach by bike. For those with limited time, the Urban Winery in Ahuriri is only 4km away and can be reached in approximately 15–20 minutes by bicycle
