• [Attraction/experience] 14:15, The Temple of the Emerald Buddha, The Grand Palace, This temple was built in 1782 by King Rama I as a royal temple when he founded the current Chakri Dynasty. The golden stupa on the grounds enshrines the Buddha's relics (bones of the Buddha). Wat Phra Kaeo was established as a royal guardian temple and is the most beautiful and dazzling temple in Thailand. Emerald Temple closure dates: May 3, May 4, May 5, May 30. On these dates, the tour content will be partially changed to visit "Marble Temple" or "Wat Traimit".
• [Attraction/experience] 15:00, Guided tour, Wat Pho, The Reclining Buddha, built by King Rama III, is 46 meters long and 15 meters high. While its size is impressive, what is particularly interesting is the soles of the Buddha's feet. On the soles of the feet, 108 diagrams representing the Buddhist worldview are depicted using beautiful mother-of-pearl inlay (a decorative technique where polished seashells are fitted into patterns).
• [Attraction/experience] 15:40, Wat Arun, Arun means "dawn" and is the temple depicted in Yukio Mishima's novel "The Temple of Dawn." It was built during the Ayutthaya period and was then a small temple called Wat Makok. In 1779, King Taksin of the Thonburi Dynasty enshrined the Emerald Buddha there, named it Wat Arun, and designated it a first-class royal temple. After the transition from the Thonburi Dynasty to the Chakri Dynasty, Wat Phra Kaeo became the first-class royal temple, and the Emerald Buddha was also moved there. • Photography and videography are prohibited inside the Emerald Buddha main image hall and the Royal Palace buildings. Additionally, on days when the Emerald Temple & Royal Palace are closed, the course content will be partially changed, and no refunds or discounts will be provided. (Alternative guidance: Marble Temple or Wat Traimit) If the Emerald Temple is accessible (only the Royal Palace and the main hall of the Emerald Temple are closed), there will be no alternative visit.
• When participating in this tour, please bring your passport (copy acceptable) for everyone. Please be aware that if security is heightened due to ceremonies at the Royal Palace or sudden visits by royalty, you may be asked to present your passport upon entry to the Emerald Temple, and if you do not have it, you will not be allowed to enter.
• After the tour, there will be no drop-off service to individual hotels. The tour will disband near the front of BTS Chit Lom Station.
