  • Take your own trash home with you. Be sure to take home food, drinks, and other trash. This will affect the nature and ecosystem. Please note that smoking and fire are strictly prohibited in the valley.

  • Do not stray from the trail. The accumulation of one step may change the vegetation. Be especially careful when taking photos. It is easy to go off the trail without realizing it.

  • Toilets: There are two toilets in the ravine, one is a bio-toilet and the other is a pumping toilet, but they are expected to be crowded, so please use the public toilet (flush) in front of the Hotel Taisenkaku first. *There are no toilets at the Japan Salamander Center at the entrance.

  • Ascending is the priority. (However, in some places where the downhill is more dangerous than the uphill, or when there is a large group of climbers, it may be better to give priority to the downhill.)

  • Walking quietly: Since you have come all this way, why not listen to the sound of birds chirping and the stream? It's a great way to heal your mind.

  • Luggage storage available at the Akame Museum of Natural History (reception desk for ninja training experience) or the Japan Salamander Center (entrance to Taki Gorge). Fee required.
