The tribe only got electricity in 1979, and the roads to the outside world were not opened until 1995. Come to Smangus and camp in the old tribe that lived without electricity or access roads.

【Smangus Giant Tree Trail】

The Giant Tree Trail is a must-visit when you come to Smangus. Explore the 2500-year-old YaYa giant tree. The trail is about 11 kilometers long and takes about 4.5 hours for a round trip. Along the way, we will take you to visit the magnificent forest scenery and feel the power of time and nature. Please assess your personal physical condition to decide whether to challenge the whole journey, and do not force yourself. Even if you do not complete the entire journey, you can still gain the healing and spectacular scenery of the forest. Some sections may be muddy in summer or after rain. It is recommended to wear non-slip walking shoes or hiking shoes.

We have specially arranged a moderate amount of relaxing free time, allowing you to freely stroll around the tribe, take pictures, and quietly feel the healing power of nature. At the campsite, we will also arrange simple and fun activities: chopping wood to make a campfire, and sharing tribal stories in the evening. This is a trip to slow down and get away from the rhythm of the city, allowing your body and mind to be truly relaxed and recharged in the mountains and forests.
