Eligibility

• Children under 18, residents of the European Union aged 18 to 25, and persons with disabilities can enter Château de Versailles for free

• On the first Sunday of every month from Nov-Mar, entrance to the Château de Versailles is free for all visitors

• Visitors eligible for free visits must pre-book online. If this is not possible, they may book their entry directly on spot at the South Wing

• It is mandatory for visitors to go through security checks in Château de Versailles. At peak times, there might be long lines for the security checks and may even reach outside

• On days when the Musical Fountains Shows and the Musical Gardens are available, the access to the gardens is free only for children aged 0-5. If you do not have a ticket including the Musical Fountains Shows and the Musical Gardens, you will have to pay an extra fee

• Access is guaranteed at the confirmed entry time. No entry outside of the confirmed time will be accepted.

• We recommend that visitors download the free Palace of Versailles visitor's app from the AppStore or Google Play

• For smooth visitor experience, the entrances and exits are separate and clearly marked at the Palace of Versailles and on the Trianon Estate

How to get there

• By train: Take the RER C train line from Invalides (Central Paris) and stop at Gare de Versailles Château Rive Gauche Station. Once you exit the station, follow the signs to Versailles. It's about a 10-minute walk
