• Participants must be aged 14+ to participate in this activity

• Children aged 14-18 must be accompanied by a paying adult

• Parental presence is required for children aged 14–18 to sign the tour consent form

Additional information

• Waterproof clothing and hiking boots are available for rent, subject to availability
• To attach crampons to hiking shoes, participants must have a minimum shoe size of 35 EU and a maximum size of 50 EU
• Rent sturdy hiking boots for 1500 ISK. Avoid runners or low-cut shoes to prevent discomfort from crampon straps
• Remember to pack your own food and drinks, as lunch is not provided on our trips. From June to September, fresh water is plentiful on the glacier, so bring a refillable bottle

What to bring

• Warm outdoor clothing, waterproof jackets and pants, headwear, gloves, and good hiking boots with ankle support
• Light sweater, wool, or fleece
• Opt for light synthetic or quick-dry pants. Avoid jeans on longer trips as they get wet, cold, and dry slowly
• Carry a small backpack for essentials like a camera, rain gear, and extra items
• Don't forget sunglasses and sun protection for the bright glare of the ice's reflection
