Hiking Reminders

• We recommend allowing your body to acclimate to the high-altitude environment with lower oxygen and air pressure, as well as familiarizing yourself with pacing uphill.
• Before registering, please ensure you are in good health and suitable for mountaineering and hiking activities. Individuals with heart conditions, acrophobia, high blood pressure, pregnancy, or other conditions that make them unsuitable for outdoor activities, as well as those who are too young or physically unable to complete the itinerary independently, should not register.
• Be aware that mountaineering and wilderness hiking activities have inherent potential dangers, and accidents can result in injury or death.
• The fragile alpine environment prohibits littering and dumping food waste. Please protect the beautiful mountain forests by packing your trash into garbage bags and carrying it down the mountain yourself.
• During the trip, if a member experiences a situation that endangers their life, the entire team will advance or retreat together without objection. Because mountain climbing teams are legally considered a "dangerous joint undertaking," the entire team must advance or retreat together to avoid legal responsibility after descending the mountain.
• During the trip, the instructor will do their best to take care of all team members and ensure their safety. However, the Mountain Secret Realm Hiking Club is not responsible for any injuries or fatalities resulting from individual negligence (such as tripping, falling, or slipping).
• During the activity, please follow the instructor's directions and do not leave the group without permission. For considerations of individual physical condition, safety, and the team's return time, the instructor's directions shall be the guiding principle. Any costs and legal liabilities arising from unauthorized departure or failure to heed advice shall be borne by the individual who leaves the group.

Cancellation Policy

• On the day of the activity, to protect the rights of other participants, no refunds will be issued, and latecomers will not be accommodated if delays are caused by tardiness or missed trains.
• After the tour departs, if the itinerary is interrupted due to irresistible factors such as road closures or landslides, the relevant transportation costs, guide fees, mountain meals, and other expenses will be deducted.
• If the Central Weather Bureau issues a sea or land typhoon warning that overlaps with any day of the trip's duration, the trip will be canceled and postponed or refunded. If the trip has already commenced, relevant expenses such as transportation fees, guide fees, mountain catering, and other costs will be deducted.
• On the day of departure, if the Central Weather Bureau issues a heavy rain warning or higher for the destination city/county (e.g., Taichung City for Xueshan), the trip will be canceled and either postponed or refunded. If the tour has already departed, deductions will be made for related transportation costs, guide fees, mountain provisions, and other expenses.
