Bathrooms are available at the check-in location at Hicks Creek and again at Matanuska Glacier Park before entering the glacier. Once on the glacier, restroom stops are limited, so please use the facilities before the trip begins

Please remember that Alaska highways may experience delays due to road construction, motorhomes, and traffic accidents, so please allow extra travel time and depart early to ensure you arrive on time for your trip check-in

Both trekking and ice-climbing trips include a mandatory balance test before departure, where guests walk over uneven rocks and stairs to assess mobility and stability, and operator may deny participation if safety concerns arise

This activity is not suitable for individuals with respiratory conditions, heart or vascular history, mobility or coordination impairments, or those taking medication that may affect judgement, physical ability, or motor skills

To fully enjoy this experience, each participant must be able to hike at least 9.7 km and feel comfortable navigating steep inclines and challenging, uneven terrain

Weather conditions can change rapidly from rain and cool temperatures to sunshine and warmth, so the operator recommend dressing in layers to stay comfortable, warm, and dry

This activity includes fun light rappelling and rope-assisted sections to safely traverse the glacier

- Bring warm synthetic layers, a waterproof raincoat, camera, light gloves, and extra socks for comfort. Avoid cotton clothing as it holds moisture and can make you cold
