Day 1

• Arrival at Mabul Dive Dig Resort (Lunch/Dinner)
• Pick up from Tawau hotel or airport. Transfer to Semporna town for dive check-in/registration at Sales Office Semporna or meet up at the Semporna office. From Semporna Jetty, you will proceed to the Rig. The boat journey takes approximately 45 minutes, depending on the weather and sea conditions
• Check-in to your room then a dive briefing by the Dive Team
• Check-out dive underneath the Rig
• If you are qualified for night diving, you can do house reef night diving with your buddy. There are no additional charges for night diving, except for the torch, should you have none of your own
• Important note: No diving provided for arrival after 16:30

Day 2-3

• Dive Rig Resort (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
• 3 boat dives between Mabul or Kapalai or Sipadan and unlimited house reef diving with a buddy underneath the Rig
• Diving in Sipadan is subject to permit availability and approval from Sabah Parks Management. However, if the permit to Sipadan Island is not available and/or approved, please take note that the package remains in force for 3 boat dives and to be conducted between Mabul or Kapalai or a nearby island

Day 4

• Departure (Breakfast/Lunch)
• A maximum of 2 boat dives for participants without flight on departure day
• Check out at 13:30 to Semporna
• Kindly take note that no divemaster will accompany house reef dives unless prior arrangements are made

Note: Flying After Diving

• When diving on vacation, a scuba diver must be aware that residual nitrogen poses a health risk upon decompression. This applies just as much to ascending in a jet as ascending to the water's surface. The difference in air pressure as a plane climbs to cruising altitude is roughly equivalent to the last 14-16 feet ascension in water. The same risks are evident, including the bends (decompression sickness) and/or an embolism. If you fly after diving, you risk extremely painful gas bubbles forming in your joints and flesh or tragically in your blood, leading to an embolism and possibly even death. A good conservative rule is to ensure that you have no residual nitrogen in your body before flying. Following the NAUI dive tables, you should be in letter group A or less (which can take over 9 hours). A safe suggestion is to pass a total of 24 hours after your last scuba dive before flying. Dive computers, which track nitrogen levels, have a "time-to-fly" indicator, which tells scuba divers how long they need to wait before boarding a plane. Plan your last dive sensibly so that you aren't bringing nitrogen along for a painful and possibly fatal return trip
• Note: No diving for participants flying on the check out day. Boat dives are non-transferable and only permitted as scheduled by management for each diver
• It is recommended that divers wait a minimum of 18-24 hours before they take flight. Please schedule your flight accordingly

Dive Package Notes

• For certified divers only (All dive programs/arrangements will be organised by the Resort's Dive Centre)
• The prices quoted are all-inclusive except for dive equipment, where participants can bring their own or rent from the resort or just rent some that they need only. Participants may also choose to dive certain day or time only but no refund
• For safety reasons, all divers must use a dive computer. Sharing is not allowed
• Solo diving is not allowed
• Night diving in the house-reef is permissible for certified night divers. The night diving must be with a buddy and is subject to sea/weather conditions. No diving after 19:00 and there will be no night boat dives. Night diving in the house-reef is FOC

Diving Terms and Regulations

• Participants must provide relevant and recognized forms of diving certifications to Dive Rig Resort to be eligible to dive. No exceptions
• All diving participants are eligible, except for check-in and check-out days, for 3 boat dives per day at various dive sites, at the discretion of the dive team between Sipadan, Mabul, and Kapalai islands. All diving participants are eligible for unlimited house reef diving, pending appropriate sea conditions
• All divers must undergo a general dive and house rules briefing and orientation dive on their check-in day or whenever the Dive Manager deems appropriate
• Any diver failing to adhere to the rules and regulations set forth by Dive Rig Resort and the Dive Guides will have their dive (s) forfeited without any refund provision
• Dive Rig Resort will strive to honor all scheduled dives. However, due to any reason (s) beyond the operator's control, all dives are subject to take place at the discretion of the Dive Manager
• Extra boat dives from those already scheduled within the reservation package will be at a cost and subject to the dive manager's approval
• Dive schedules will change from normal scheduling on the following religious holidays: EidUlFitr and EidUlAdha. These dates vary every year, so please check with local information services
• No diving activities are provided on arrival day if participants arrive at the Rig after 16:00
• Due to the provision of unlimited house reef diving and 3 boat dives as per schedule, for safety reasons and according to naval research, the duration of all dives is limited to between 45-50 minutes inclusive of safety stop and no deeper than 30 meters (40 meters for deep specialty qualified divers only
• All unguided diving is at divers' own risk and responsibility
• Participants undergoing courses are required to complete the necessary skills up to the requirements deemed sufficient by PADI standards for certification. Will not refund course fee in any part for incomplete courses
• Snorkeling is available at the participants’ leisure and risk and must coincide with the boating schedules and boat capacity. Divers always have the right of way and priority on boats. Snorkeling guides are only provided upon request and are subject to availability and at a cost

Sipadan Dive Trip

• Daily entry permits to dive or visit Sipadan Island will be subject to approval by the Sabah Parks Department, which controls the issuing of the entry permits. The total number of divers or visitors allowed to visit Sipadan Island is restricted to 176 pax per day for all resorts in total
• A minimum stay of 3 consecutive nights with a diving package is required to be eligible for a 1-day guarantee of a Sipadan permit
• Priority of Sipadan Permits is given to Divers. Non Divers are subject to permit availability
• Sipadan Day Trip is at MYR 800 per day/diver and is subject to availability (applicable to dormitory stay; exclude equipment)
• A fee is levied by the Sabah Parks Department of MYR 140 per person (payable at the Resort) for all guests entering Sipadan and is valid for ONE (1) day only. This levy charge is to be paid separately as it is not included in the packages unless clearly stated
• If the trip has to be canceled, the permit paid is not refundable or transferable to a later date
• The management will not be responsible for such losses rendered to the participants
• Dive Rig Resort will strive to keep all guests on the same reservation together on all dives to Sipadan; however, in the event of large groups or situations beyond the operator's control, participants on the same reservation may be split
• Please note that the operator will forward your names for Sipadan permits as often as possible. Please inform the oprator if you do not want to be put forward for more than your guaranteed allocation of permits at least 24 hours in advance, or otherwise, you would be charged for the permit acquired

Pregnant women are also not recommended as the boat ride may be bumpy depending on the sea condition. If you are having similar issues as above, kindly consult your physician before you enroll in this activity
