With an altitude of approximately 935 meters, it is one of the most iconic spots in Aso. You can take a horse-drawn carriage around the grassland, which is very popular among tourists.

• From July to September 2026, a "Mizuki Pilgrimage Exchange Ticket" will be given away for free, which can be used in the Monzenmachi shopping street of Aso Shrine! • If there is no reservation by 15:00, 10 days before departure, the trip will be canceled.
• During winter (January to February), roads around Mount Aso are at risk of icing. Therefore, for customer safety, operations may be suspended.
• Please be aware that due to the burning of wild grass on Mount Aso from late February to early March, road closures may occur. Operations may be suspended depending on the closed sections of the road. Thank you for your understanding.
• For safety reasons, if the bus cannot operate due to weather or other factors, the route may be changed or the day's trip may be canceled.
• Buses will operate according to the scheduled plan. If a customer is late or misses the bus due to personal reasons, there will be no compensation.
• Due to potential delays caused by road traffic conditions, we cannot guarantee timely transfers (trains, buses, flights) for customers after their trip ends.
• The size of the bus will be adjusted according to the number of participants on the day. (For example: it will be upgraded from a Coaster or small bus to a medium bus, then to a large bus.)
• The operating buses generally do not have space for luggage. If you have large luggage with you, please store it in advance.
• Please note that the accompanying translators are there to assist you in making your journey smoother and more comfortable, but they are not tour guides or leaders and do not provide guided explanations at scenic spots.
• On the day, staff will guide you to your seats. Please understand that if there are many participants, you may be seated next to other customers.
• Children aged 0-2 are free if they do not occupy a seat. Usage fees for each facility must be paid on-site. If a seat is required, please apply for a reservation with a child ticket.
• Due to the continuous release of volcanic gases (sulfur dioxide/SO2) around the crater, individuals with respiratory diseases, heart conditions, or those feeling unwell are not permitted to visit the crater.
• If it is not possible to visit the crater due to volcanic smoke regulations or other reasons, the sightseeing time at Kusasenri will be extended.
