Activation Process

You will receive a voucher of the pass after the booking is confirmed, there will be an activation link for each passenger in the voucher. You are not allow to travel with this voucher only, activation of your pass is necessary before boarding the train
Proceed with the activation when you are certain of the travel dates. To activate each pass, click on each activation link in the voucher to choose your travel dates and complete the check-in process
Upon a successful activation, you will receive the M-Pass (Mobile Pass) by email and be able to download your M-Pass
On the day of travel, present your M-Pass at any ticket barrier with a barcode reader or to staff at the side gate or on the train
The pass cannot be refunded or changed once activated

Pass Validity

BritRail Passes are valid from 00:00 to 24:00 (Midnight to Midnight) on a chosen day of travel
If a pass holder is traveling on an overnight train containing sleeper accommodation, the next day’s date must be inserted
The pass cannot be used to travel before 09:15 Mondays to Fridays (Except between Glasgow-Oban/Fort William/Mallaig and Inverness-Kyle/Wick/Thurso)

Reservations will incur additional fees
