Exhibition Information
Makoto Fujimura & Shozo Michikawa: Dust and Gold (2025.09.28~2026.08.30)
Dust is impermanence, everyday life, the residue and continuation of weathered matter; Gold is the flashing of light, the sedimentation of faith, the indelible echo of spirituality.
Two states of existence intertwined in the flow of time. Contemporary abstract expressionist artist Makoto Fujimura and ceramic sculptor Shozo Michikawa jointly present a poetic dialogue about time and matter, starting from their respective sensitive touch of matter and spiritual depth. This exhibition is the first large-scale exhibition of the two artists in Taiwan, spanning 1992-2025, covering painting, sound installations and ceramic sculptures. Through the three sections of the exhibition [Shining in Silence], [Blooming in Adversity], and [Walking on Water], it guides people to perceive the beauty of tranquility from natural minerals, light, and dynamic sculptures infused with natural energy, and opens up a new perspective of turning to gentleness and firmness in the face of impermanence.
Jiro Kamata: Eye of the Celestial Sphere (2025.01.10~2026.01.11)
Miniature optical jewelry in the palm of your hand, carving the infinite imagination of cosmic rays, and integrating the cross-border performance of art, fashion and astronomical science.
"Moving Art - Eye of the Celestial Sphere", stepping into the world of Jiro Kamata's works, the audience will feel the time dimension from the starlight of the universe. The artist combines contemporary jewelry (miniature optical sculptures) with the refraction of light and innovative materials to create psychedelic works of art like black holes and galaxies. These works not only show the strange colors of starlight shining in the night sky, but also convey the fantastic associations about the invisible but existing universe.
Yasumichi Morita: Sensory World (2024.11.07~2025.11.09)
Following the exhibition at the Chanel Museum in Tokyo, Yasumichi Morita's first large-scale exhibition in Taiwan is co-curated by Ya-Man Shao and Cho-Chun Kung, with the exhibition's visual design by ALIEN Art and Tokyo Glamorous.
The sensory world unfolds in the universe before our eyes. In the eyes of the philosopher Bergson, the senses burst out with all kinds of subtle feelings when the naked human body collides with the universe. These overlapping and intertwined colors, sounds, smells, tastes and tactile sensations, in various forms, sprout the five senses, like illusory images that are constantly changing, born from nothingness, and in turn shape the great universe before our eyes, a wonderful world where light and shadow are mottled. The senses open up various fields of feeling. In addition to color, sound, smell, taste, and touch, there are also physical postures of walking, sitting, moving, sleeping soundly, lying on the side, pulling, heavy pressure, light support, or embrace, unfolding an endless space. If, for film poets like Tarkovsky or Yasujiro Ozu, image creation is tantamount to the dynamic sculpture of time and light, then Yasumichi Morita, as an architectural designer, deeply entrusts his photography to the tactile sculpture of spatial shadows.
