- Important: Infants and children must be included in the passenger headcount
- Free for children aged 0-4 when accompanied by a paying adult

Please note that the doors to the facility and gardens do not open automatically, to keep butterflies from escaping the venue. The staff will be happy to help if assistance is needed onsite

How to get there

By car: Take Patricia Bay Highway (#17) north, then take Exit 18 to Keating Cross Road. Continue until it becomes Benvenuto Avenue at West Saanich Road

By bus: Take the bus line 75 from Ogden Point Cruise Ship Terminal to the Keating X Rd at W Saanich Rd stop, and walk for 4 minutes

By bus: Take the bus line 83 from Sidney to the W Saanich Rd at Kersey Rd stop, and walk for 5 minutes

By bus: Take the Gray Line Sightseeing Victoria Shuttle bus from 721 Government Street (Located under the red umbrellas, directly out-front of The Fairmont Empress Hotel), to the Victoria Butterfly Gardens stop. Return transportation is available every hour and this shuttle is offered daily from June to September

By taxi: Taxis and Uber services are readily available, cab fare is approximately CAD 40-55 each way
