During this 50-minute session, you will learn the basics of Gayageum playing in a relaxed environment. I will briefly introduce the instrument’s history and its role in Korean traditional music.

Then you will sit with your own Gayageum and learn simple techniques such as how to pluck the strings and create expressive sounds. Step by step, you will practice a short and easy melody and experience playing Korean music yourself.

This experience is beginner-friendly, so no musical background is required. At the end, you can take photos with the instrument and remember your special Korean music experience in Seoul.
