Disabled visitors or those with mobility difficulties should use the first-floor entrance, designated for Turkish citizens. They will have access to the first-floor prayer area only
The Hagia Sophia Mosque is closed to tourists from 12:00 to 14:00
Women are required to cover their hair, shoulders, knees, and chest (Scarves are available for purchase on-site), and men are required to cover their knees and shoulders. Tatoos and symbols should also be covered
The security line cannot be skipped and may take longer during peak season. Please arrive early to reduce wait times
Strollers must be folded and carried due to the historic flooring

How to get there

By bus: Take bus 36, 53A, or 71 and get off at the Sultanahmet Tram Stop. From there, it's a 5-minute walk to the site
By metro: Take Line M2 (the Green Line) to Yenikapı station. From there, transfer to the M1A line (the red line) to Aksaray station. Exit at Sultanahmet station, and then it’s a 10-minute walk to the site
