Depart from Surabaya/Malang and drive to a hotel in the Bromo area, where you can explore nearby farms, witness Tenggerese culture, or relax. At 2 AM, a 4WD takes you to Mt. Penanjakan 1 for the Bromo sunrise, followed by a trek to the Bromo crater with views of Mt. Batok, Mt. Semeru, and the Hindu temple. If lucky, witness the Yadnya Kasada festival. After breakfast, head to Ijen Crater, staying overnight in Banyuwangi/Bondowoso. At 11.30 PM, drive to Paltuding, then trek to see the mesmerizing Blue Fire phenomenon before returning to Surabaya/Malang or Ketapang Port.
