Your first stop will be in the town of Bourgueil, where the surrounding vineyards produce some of the most exquisite wines in the region. You'll visit a traditional winery, learn about the wine-making process from grape to bottle, and have the chance to taste different wines. Don't forget to bring home your favorite bottle as a souvenir! Next up is the picturesque town of Chinon, with its preserved medieval half-timbered houses, Renaissance town houses, and castle, once the residence of Henry II of England. Your guide will walk you through the town's history. You will also have time to explore the town on your own, shop, and try some of the local specialties for lunch. After lunch, you will visit a winery run by a lovely French couple who will show you the wine-making process in Chinon.
