  • In accordance with government epidemic prevention measures, please complete the real-name registration and have your temperature taken before entering the museum. We regret that visitors with a temperature exceeding 37.5 degrees Celsius will be denied entry.

  • Shilin Official Residence Main Building: Free guided tours in Mandarin are available daily at 10:30 and 15:30 (services subject to change based on pandemic situation).

  • Please follow the instructions of our service staff throughout your visit.

  • There are no restrooms inside the Main Building of the Official Residence. Please use the restrooms in "Shilin Official Residence Park" before your visit.

  • Admission is free; however, to preserve the historic site and due to visitor capacity limitations, visitors may be required to enter in batches when the number of people inside exceeds 100.

  • Eating, chewing betel nuts, and chewing gum are prohibited inside the Main Building of the Official Residence. Smoking is prohibited throughout the Main Building of the Official Residence and the garden area.

  • Please refrain from touching any artifacts inside the Main Building of the Official Residence. In the gardens, please do not feed the fish or litter.

  • When taking photos inside the museum, please do not take close-up shots of cultural relics. Video and audio recording are prohibited.

  • Please refrain from using flash photography, tripods, selfie sticks, or any equipment that may interfere with other visitors' experience inside the museum.

  • Dangerous materials and items such as bottles, firecrackers, lasers, and other things that may disturb or inconvenience other attendees are prohibited inside the venue

  • Smoking and drinking is not allowed. You will immediately be asked to leave if caught by a staff member

  • This activity is stroller and wheelchair-accessible
