After all tourists have gathered, we will drive north along Highway 1 and then west to the Snæfellsnes Peninsula, where the adventure officially begins! Snæfellsnes is a volcanic area, and the Snæfellsjökull glacier is located on top of a volcano. We will first stop at the Berserkjahraun lava field, which is a lava field formed by a volcanic eruption about 4,000 years ago. There are moss-covered rocks and craters Rauðkúla and Grákúla formed by the eruption. We will admire this lava field from the Vatnaleid viewpoint. Kirkjufell Mountain is one of the most famous shooting locations in Iceland. It is only 463 meters high, but it looks particularly majestic due to its unique arrow shape. Kirkjufell Mountain and the Kirkjufellsfoss waterfall next to it often appear in photos, with the reflection of the mountain on the lake in the background. This is one of the locations outside the North Wall in "Game of Thrones." Snæfellsjökull National Park is a protected area, and the glacier and volcano together form its core. Legend has it that this is the entrance to the center of the earth in Jules Verne's "Journey to the Center of the Earth." Another stop in the national park is Djúpalónssandur black sand beach. The black sand on this beach comes from an ancient volcanic eruption, and the sea water eroded the lava to form the black sand we see today. You can also see some interesting lava rocks here. Next, we will go to the southern part of the Snæfellsnes Peninsula to visit the Lóndrangar stone pillars. Continue to Arnarstapi village, a small fishing village surrounded by beautiful mountains and coastlines. The cliffs are home to a large number of birds, making it a paradise for photography enthusiasts. Búðir's black church is the most famous black church in Iceland. It was built in 1848 and has undergone several repairs. The black exterior of the church contrasts sharply with the desolate landscape around it, making it a popular spot for taking photos. Finally, we will go to Ytri Tunga beach. This golden sandy beach is one of the best seal watching spots in Iceland, and you have the opportunity to see seals resting on the shore. After the tour, we will start to return to Reykjavik and finally take you back to the meeting point.
