In the dry season, Salar de Uyuni transforms into a natural mosaic of polygonal salt patterns that crack and crisscross underfoot. But it’s during the rainy season (typically between December and April) that Salar de Uyuni becomes otherworldly. A thin layer of rainwater turns the salt flat into the “world’s largest mirror,” perfectly reflecting the sky.
