A museum like a home surrounded by the forest of Sefa Utaki, a sacred site registered as a World Heritage Site in Okinawa

The Nanjo Museum of Art was opened in 2021 as an art space surrounded by lush forests and the ocean of Nirai Kanai (utopia), located a five-minute drive from Sefa Utaki, a World Heritage Site known as the most sacred site in the Ryukyu Kingdom, in Nanjo City, Okinawa Prefecture. It is a scenic museum that goes beyond the boundaries of traditional museums, with the philosophy that "beauty exists in life and in daily living."
