Roman columns and stained-glass windows capture the elegance of a 19th-century trading port.

Next, explore the architectural gem of Lingnan, the Chen Clan Academy, where the exquisite craftsmanship of three types of carving, two types of sculpture, and casting reaches its pinnacle. Marvel at the lifelike ceramic figures from operatic scenes on the roof ridges, touch the gilded wooden carved screens, and understand the culture of Cantonese ancestral halls in the "Best Ancestral Hall in Guangdong."

In the afternoon, ascend the Canton Tower, the world's third-tallest tower, and enjoy a panoramic view of the city from the 433-meter high observation deck. Experience the thrill of walking in the clouds on the transparent glass floor. Then, head to the adjacent Huacheng Square to capture photos of the CBD's central axis and the East and West Towers.
