Please be sure to bring your passport with you on the day of the cruise or make a note of your passport number in advance. Staff will ask you for your passport number on the day of the cruise. Please note that you will not be able to board the ship if you cannot provide your passport number.
• Please note that service is provided in Japanese only. Translation devices are available for languages other than Japanese. A bus tour guide will not be accompanying the tour, but a Japanese-speaking staff member will be on board.
• As drift ice is a natural phenomenon, viewing times are difficult to predict and cannot be guaranteed. It is most commonly seen from late January to early March. Drift ice viewing may be affected by weather or landing conditions and may not be possible. We appreciate your understanding.
• If the icebreaker is cancelled due to weather or other reasons: Adults will be refunded ¥4,000 / Children will be refunded ¥3,000, and an alternative arrangement will be made to visit the Okhotsk Ryu-hyo Science Center "Giza".
• If travel to Monbetsu is not possible due to road conditions: ¥4,000 for adults / ¥3,000 for children will be refunded, and the tour will instead visit the Sounkyo Ice Waterfall Festival (includes admission fee to the Sounkyo Ice Waterfall Festival).
• Infants (0-2 years old) are required to pay a fee and will be provided with a seat. Lap sitting is not permitted.
• Kindly be advised that traffic congestion is common on weekends and holidays. As Japanese law stipulates that bus drivers' working hours must not exceed a certain limit, the duration of visits to attractions may be adjusted according to traffic conditions on the day.
