This remarkable path along the walls of the Gaitanes Gorge in Malaga offers an unforgettable adventure. The name El Caminito del Rey dates back to 1921, when King Alfonso XIII traversed it during the inauguration of the Count of Guadalhorce dam. Over time, disuse rendered it Europe’s most dangerous path. However, after extensive restoration, it reopened in 2015 and is now safe and accessible. The route spans from the Guadalhorce-Guadalteba reservoir to El Chorro, featuring narrow sections just 1 meter wide. It parallels the railroad tracks, showcasing the Gaitanes gorge and Gaitanejo
