  • Many people are astonished by the immense size and overwhelming presence of the Great Buddha of Nara. The statue's height was 15.8 meters at the time of construction and is now 14.98 meters, equivalent to about a five-story building. The width is approximately 12 meters, and it weighs 130 tons with the pedestal and 250 tons for the Buddha itself.
  • The deer in Nara primarily feed on grass, but what are the ingredients of the deer crackers? The answer is wheat flour and rice bran. Considering the health of the deer, no sugar or other additives are used, making it a safe treat to give to the deer.
