[Nyorin-ji Temple]
Also known as Frog God Temple. The temple architecture is simple and elegant, filled with a strong Zen atmosphere. The main buildings include the Grand Hall, Zen hall, and Sutra library. These buildings not only have high historical value but also showcase the aesthetics of traditional Japanese architecture. Since the head monk brought back a jade frog from China, the temple has accumulated 10,000 frog figurines.
[Mount Yufu Climbing Entrance]
Mount Yufu is located in an active volcanic zone and has a unique volcanic landscape. The mountain is matcha-colored, and the vegetation displays different colors in each season. The climbing entrance is surrounded by beautiful scenery.
[Yufuin]
Yufuin combines the Japanese fantasy style of Ghibli with the English countryside. It is also a famous hot spring resort in Kyushu. The simple and peaceful town environment and the warm and healthy open-air baths are the charming attractions that make Yufuin a memorable destination.
[Kinrin Lake]
Originally named "Mount Kage Pond," it was later renamed by Confucian scholar Mori Kusen when he observed the lake surface shimmering like fish scales in the setting sun. Its unique feature is that hot spring water flows into the lake from the bottom, mixing with the external cold water to form a dreamy landscape shrouded in mist.
[Sea Hell & Cooking Pot Hell]
Beppu is famous for its hot spring industry. The city has more than 200 public hot springs, and the number of hot spring sources and the variety of spring qualities are among the best in the world. Here, you can also experience Beppu's specialty - Hell Steaming, a Beppu specialty dish that uses the high-temperature steam of hot springs to steam ingredients, maximizing the preservation of the original flavor of the ingredients.
