Pass eligibility

  • Free for children aged 0-4 as long as they will not occupy separate seats

  • Children aged 16+ will be charged the same rate as adults

  • This pass is available for purchase by both UK and non-UK residents

Additional information

  • This vehicle is stroller and wheelchair-accessible
  • Off peak travel is valid from Monday to Friday on trains departing after 09:15 and on any service during the weekend

Luggage

  • You may take up to three items of personal luggage free of charge; this includes two large items (Such as suitcases or rucksacks) and one item of smaller hand luggage (Such as a briefcase). Excess luggage and bulky items may be carried, subject to available space and charges

  • The voucher is valid for 334 day(s) from the booking confirmation date. It expires at 23:59 on the last day

  • The M-Pass must be activated within 3 months of purchase for UK residents and within 11 months for international guests visiting the UK

Activation Process

  • Receive a confirmation email with an activation link after purchasing your pass
  • When ready to use the pass, click the activation link to choose your travel dates and complete the check-in process
  • Before your journey, download the M-Pass directly to your mobile phone
  • You will need to present the M-Pass on your phone to station and on-train staff upon request; a valid photo ID must be shown
  • The M-Pass must be activated within 3 months of purchase for UK residents and within 11 months for international guests visiting the UK

Seat Reservation Process

  • Seat reservation is recommended but not required

  • Reservations will incur additional fees

  • You can make a reservation on the train carrier’s official website or at any National Rail ticket office

  • Upgrades to First Class are not available

  • Reservations can be made on the website up to 12 week(s) in advance
